Car Seat Clinic

Wednesday, October 1, 2014
The Greencastle Police Department conducted its annual car seat safety clinic Monday at the Putnam County Hospital as part of the National Child Passenger Safety Week. Greencastle Police Department car seat technician Darcy Hendershot led the three-hour program, which also included certified technicians Greencastle Police Chief Tom Sutherlin, Capt. Chris Jones (above), Area 30 Career Center Law Enforcement students along with technicians from the Clay County and Owen County sheriff's departments. The police department conducts the car seat clinic annually as part of the Permanent Fitting Station requirements, which mandate one car seat clinic per year. During the event, Kamilla Plummer was fitted into her new, larger car seat by Jones with the help of her mother Lyndie. (Photo by LAUREN BOUCHER)
