Galley to Gallery

Award-winning culinary arts students in Mary Anne Birt's class at the Area 30 Career Center in Greencastle serve their first Ivy Gallery lunch customers of the 2014-15 school year Wednesday as Jake Decker, an Area 30 student from Eminence High School, brings drinks to one of the tables in the Ivy Gallery. Hosting a full house of diners, students prepared and served a meal that included a watermelon salad appetizer, a loaded baked potato and roasted chicken casserole entree and desserts ranging from chocolate torte with raspberry sauce to cherry and strawberry rhubarb pie to pumpkin cake with cream cheese frosting. Meanwhile, student Chasta Muse (below) gets ready to present the dessert tray to diners.
