Boil order in place for South 43 Putnamville customers

PUTNAMVILLE -- South 43 Water Association, serving customers in Putnam County, has experienced a water main break affecting its customers in Putnamville.

A boil order will be necessary for customers in Putnamville whose water was off Wednesday evening, Oct. 1 and Thursday afternoon, Oct. 2.

South 43 customers served by the affected water main will be under an extended boil order until further notice.

Customers not included in the boil order are located north of Greencastle or outside of Putnamville.

A boil order means persons should boil any cooking or drinking water for several minutes before using or consuming.
