*At 8:41 p.m. on Monday, Robert J. Robertson, 33, Bainbridge, was eastbound on County Road 675 North when a dog ran into the road from the north side.

Robertson told Deputy Mike Downing that he swerved his 2010 Toyota Corolla to the right to avoid the dog, which caused him to lose control of his car and leave the south side of the roadway.

Casteel slid out of control through the front yard of Dwight E. Treen at 6687 E. C.R. 675 Nort. and land in their pond. Casteel was able to exit the vehicle before it sank to the bottom of the pond.

Assisting at the scene was the Floyd Township Fire Department, Ploughe's Wrecker and the Danville Dive Team.

Damage was estimated at $10,001-$25,000.

At 5:01 p.m. on Monday, Jessica R. Castell, 29, Greencastle, was northbound on County Road 300 East when she attempted to pass a vehicle.

Casteel told Downing the right front tire of her 2013 Ford Fiesta caught the edge of the road. Casteel then left the roadway on the east side, hit a mailbox belonging to Chad Beadles at 4501 S. CR 300 E, passed through a ditch and continue crossing across both lanes of traffic before coming to rest off the west side of the roadway facing north.

* At 8:35 p.m. on Friday, Sept. 19, Beverly R. Barnhardt, 79, Russellville, was westbound on County Road 1300 North when she approached a 90-degree corner to the north.

Barnhardt advised Deputy Downing she observed a semi tractor and trailer southbound on Public Road, turning east at the same 90-degree corner crossing left of center. She then stopped her vehicle in the middle of the corner hoping that the 2009 International truck driven by Scott A. Lowe, 42, Ladoga, would avoid hitting her 2007 Chevrolet Cobalt.

Barnhardt noted that the trailer of the semi ran over the hood of her vehicle, dragging it backward and into the cornfield.

Lowe said he was southbound on Public Road when he approached the 90-degree corner turning east onto County Road 1300 North when he observed Barnhardt pass him going the opposite direction. Lowe added that he felt the truck jerk suddenly and looked into his side mirror to see the vehicle under the trailer. However, by the time he realized what had happened he had dragged Barnhardt's vehicle into the cornfield.

Damage was estimated at $10,001-$25,000.
