BG: What is it like being a senior this year?

TS: "It's pretty awesome being a senior this year. It's my last year in high school and I want to make the most of it. I've really enjoyed it so far."

BG: What did you do for off-season training?

TS: "We conditioned three or four times-a-week over the summer. There was not a lot of coaching but we did a lot of miles, anywhere from 30-35 miles-a-week."

BG: What are your individual and team goals this year?

TS: "As an individual and as a team, I want to advance to regionals and maybe go to the semi-state. For time, I am aiming for a 16:30 race this year."

BG: What is your inspiration and who inspires you?

TS: "I'm always looking to do better, to push myself. My parents help motivate me to do that."

BG: Who are your best friends?

TS: "The cross country guys are always a blast to hang with. We're a bunch of goofballs and do some interesting things. I like to hang out with them in and out of school. I've also gotten closer to my fellow senior class members this year."

BG: What is your favorite Greencastle memory?

TS: "I'd have to say the traditional Kroger run during track season. That's our favorite."

BG: What is your favorite part of cross country?

TS: "I like that you can have good conversations with people on your long runs. That's always fun."

BG: What are your future plans?

TS: "I'm looking at Rose-Hulman and looking into chemical engineering. I may or may not run on their teams."
