County Jail

Two people were booked into the Putnam County Jail on Thursday, Oct. 9.

* At 10:22 a.m. Carl Lee Carrico, 24, Greencastle, was charged with failure to appear and driving while intoxicated.

* At 11:10 a.m. Cody Allen Wade, 24, was arrested for domestic battery and false informing.

Sheriff's Department

At 7:15 a.m. on Thursday, Oct. 9, Pamela Sutherland, 63, Cloverdale, was turning left onto U.S. 40 from County Road 25 East in a 2011 Toyota CBA.

Sutherland told Deputy Adam Hull she believed that Pual J. Latham, 42, Reelsville, was approaching the intersection in the right hand lane, so she proceeded to turn into the left lane.

Latham was in the left lane in a 2011 Toyota Prius and could not avoid colliding with the back of Sutherland's vehicle.

Damage was estimated at $5,000-$10,000. Both vehicles were driven from the scene.
