National Honors

Greencastle High School Principal Russ Hesler presents Elijah Battain (left) and Jason Ummel with National Merit Scholarship commendations Wednesday morning. Around 34,000 students are commended in the United States and although they will not continue in the 2015 National Merit Scholarship competititon, Battain and Ummel have placed in the top five percent of over 1.5 million students participating in the competition.
