County times listed for trick-or-treat

All Putnam County community trick-or-treat hours limit activity to the night of the holiday itself on Friday, Oct. 31.

Those specific trick-or-treat hours, listed by community, are:

-- Greencastle -- 4-8 p.m. (starting at 4 p.m. due to the downtown events).

-- Cloverdale -- 5:30-8 p.m.

-- Fillmore -- 6-8 p.m.

-- Bainbridge -- 6-8 p.m.

-- Roachdale -- 6-8 p.m.

-- Russellville -- 6-8 p.m.

As is the custom locally, residents welcoming trick-or-treaters are urged to turn on a porch light during the appropriate period. Likewise, Halloween revelers are asked to honor that custom and avoid homes that do not have an outside light illuminated.
