Boomer Comes to Tzouanakis

Boomer of the Indiana Pacers high-fives a teacher during a visit to Tzouanikis Intermediate School (TIS) on Friday morning. Boomer's visit involved performing for students while presenting gift cards to teachers to help them purchase classroom supplies, something that often requires teachers to spend money out-of-pocket at estimates as high as $1,000 per year. The Greencastle Walmart Distribution Center awarded 20 teachers with $50 gift cards, with eight additional cards being purchased by the TIS parent-teacher organization so that all full-time teachers were able to receive an award.
