Phyllis Joan Patterson

Phyllis Joan Patterson, 77, of Greencastle, passed away on Monday, Oct. 27, 2014.

Born Aug. 13, 1937 in Parke County, she was the daughter of Samuel and Bessie (Harney) Dickey.

She was a 1955 graduate of Raccoon Township High School.

Joan married Keith R. Patterson on May 11, 1957, and he survives.

Joan was a homemaker and had worked at the Putnam County Courthouse.

Survivors include her husband, Keith; children Brian Patterson, Darrell (Mary) Patterson, Terri (Brian) Phillips and Stacy (Holly) Patterson; a brother, Dale Dickey; a sister, Rita Long; nine grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, Oct. 31 at Hopkins-Rector Funeral Home, Greencastle. Interment will follow at Forest Hill Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 5-8 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 30 at the funeral home.
