Cloverdale FFA Christmas Toy Drive now under way

Friday, October 31, 2014

CLOVERDALE -- The Cloverdale High School FFA, South Putnam Student Council and North Putnam FFA are teaming up again to host a Christmas Toy Drive.

They are currently collecting donations of new or gently used toys, books, new stuffed animals, new hats and gloves to provide to area children.

Donations will be collected until Friday, Nov. 21.

Any donations can be dropped off at Cloverdale, South Putnam or North Putnam high schools, as well as various drop-off sites in the community. The schools are collecting cash donations, which will be used to purchase new toys, hats and gloves.

The goal is to have two gifts, a hat, a pair of gloves and two books per child depending on donation amounts. To receive these items individuals are asked to bring in their Health Wise card or a tax return that shows the children as their dependents.

The toy drive distribution will be Thursday, Dec. 4 from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. at Cloverdale High School.

Last year the Toy Drive assisted approximately 496 children and the need is expected to be more than 500 children this year.
