Dust in the Wind

Sunday, November 2, 2014

Piles of East Seminary Street leaves are turned into dust in the wind as the Greencastle Street Department leaf vacuum, being operated by Andrew Rogers, continues its rounds through city neighborhoods. With city leaf-collection efforts just beginning last Monday, the crew has been ahead of schedule thus far, trying to knock down the large piles that have already been raked curbside (and not into the street). With leaves now falling in earnest, the collection effort will continue through Nov. 26 (the Wednesday before Thanksgiving), following the city trash route schedule for the most part.
