WOOSTER, Ohio -- DePauw's football team scored on the second play of the game and then four of its first six offensive possessions of the first half on the way to a 42-13 North Coast Athletic Conference win Saturday at Wooster.

The Tigers improved to 6-2 overall and 5-2 in the NCAC, while the Fighting Scots dropped to 3-5 overall and 3-4 in conference play.

DePauw junior corner Hamm Hooper set the tone by intercepting Wooster quarterback Gary Muntean on the game's second play and returning it for a 27-yard score just 36 seconds into the contest.

The Tigers' defense forced a three-and-out on the next series and, following a short punt, DePauw started on its own 49. Amen Galley scored on a 6-yard run and Marko Adams booted the point-after to make it 14-0 with 9:08 left in the opening stanza.

Wooster managed to pick up its initial first down on the next possession, but the DePauw defense again put the clamps down and the offense gained great field position again.

Wooster failed to get on the board on its first possession of the second half as Trevor Bowden's 33-yard field goal attempt was wide right.

The Scots did score early in the fourth when Muntean completed a 4-yard pass to Darrian Owens with 11:05 left.

DePauw countered on its next series as Galley scored his third rushing touchdown of the contest on a 6-yard run with just 4:08 remaining.
