Salvation Army needs local volunteer bell ringers

Thursday, November 13, 2014

Did you know Salvation Army Red Kettle funds support the local community?

Monies raised locally stay here, helping provide emergency assistance to Putnam County residents with direct financial help for utilities, lodging, rent, transportation, medical needs, food, clothing, disaster assistance and more.

The Salvation Army is now preparing for the upcoming Red Kettle Campaign and is in need of volunteer bell ringers in the local community.

The Kettle Campaign kicks off Friday, Nov. 14 at the Greencastle Kroger.

Starting on Nov. 28 the Greencastle Walmart will also become a Kettle Campaign location.

The campaign will continue through Dec. 24 with ringing locations at both Walmart and Kroger in Greencastle.

Persons or groups who would like to volunteer an hour or two to help the community through the Salvation Army are asked to contact Service Extension Representative Tanis Monday at tanismonday@gmail.com or 765-301-9263 to schedule a time to ring.
