All treat, no trick for Halloween

To the Editor:

I just wanted to comment on this year's trick-or-treat night in Greencastle. What a joy it was!

In spite of the rain, snow, wind and miserable cold in general, all the children coming to the door had on costumes.

Every one of them said "thank you" and almost all said "Happy Halloween!" as they walked away.

And, my visitors numbered almost 85 children.

With such expressions of gratitude, it made the whole evening fun for everyone and made me wonder: Could the teachers as well as the parents be doing a little coaching? Nice thought! Whatever, it worked.
