Area 30 Robotics

Putnam County Hospital and the Putnam County Hospital Hospitalist Program recently donated $1,000 to sponsor the a robotics competition, which will be held on Saturday, Dec. 6 at Area 30. Various tournaments are held throughout the year, and the upcoming competition will serve as the championship event, with more than 40 robots from schools all over Indiana competing. The tournament, which involves 10 qualifying matches, choosing alliances and finishing with a single elimination tournament will reward victors with trophies and monetary gifts for future robotics parts. Registration for the robotics event starts at 8 a.m. with the competion beginning at 9 a.m. Present for the check donation was (from left) Dakota Hacker, Adviser Zane Earles, Zane Owens, Thomas Hunt, Dayzsh Sutche, Brandon White, Noah Barger, Mitchell Griffin, Brandon Hawkins, Jessica Owens, Putnam County Hospital CEO Dennis Weatherford and Dr. John Savage.
