Johnson Nichols to provide Affordable Care enrollment assistance

Thursday, November 27, 2014

Due to newly acquired grant funding, Johnson Nichols Health Clinic will have enrollment specialists called Navigators on site daily to help the local community members with their health insurance needs.

As part of the Affordable Care Act, trained enrollment Navigators serve as guides to help people gain access to high quality, affordable health coverage through the health insurance marketplace and Medicaid.

Enrollment for health plans through the marketplace is available until Feb. 15.

Residents can contact a Navigator at 653-6171.

Johnson Nichols Health Clinic is now located at Putnam County Hospital in the Medical Offices.

Additionally, an enrollment fair will be conducted at the Putnam County Library on Dec. 3 from noon-4 p.m.

Anyone interested in enrolling on that day will need to bring mailing addresses for everyone applying for coverage, social security numbers, pay stubs or W-2s and policy numbers for any current health insurance plans covering members of the household.

Persons may call the Johnson Nichols Health Clinic for an appointment on that day.
