DePauw to recognize Huffman's 500-win milestone

DePauw University will recognize head women's basketball coach Kris Huffman and her recent achievement of 500 career victories in two events surrounding Saturday's 1 p.m. North Coast Athletic Conference game against Wooster.

At 12:45 p.m. coach Huffman will be recognized with a brief ceremony prior to tipoff and following the contest there will be a reception in her honor in the Lilly Center lobby. The public is invited to both and there is no admission charge for the game.

"Kris has accomplished some amazing things in her time here and we want everyone to have an opportunity to celebrate this milestone." said Stevie Baker-Watson, DePauw Director of Athletics and Recreational Sports.

Huffman, in her 22nd season with the Tigers, earned her 500th career win with Sunday's 70-39 win at Illinois College and has a 500-105 career record. Her .827 winning percentage enter the season ranked ninth all-time among women's coaches on all NCAA levels.
