ROACHDALE -- The children of Putnam County will not only get to meet Santa and Mrs. Claus in Roachdale on Saturday, Dec. 13 but, they'll get to snack with them as well.

According to organizer Tammy Folck, this year's event will include much more than cookies and milk.

"We are revamping this year, Folck said.

Children up to age 10 will receive gifts and goodies, including surprise treats from Mrs. Claus.

A gingerbread man and elves will also be there to meet the children of Putnam County.

In addition to milk and cookies there will be crafts, face-painting, coloring for Santa, Christmas stories, games and more.

Participants are encouraged to see Santa's arrival by firetruck with a special police escort by Town Marshal Mike Mahoy.

The event is provided free of charge to the community.
