Turner - 50th Anniversary

Friday, December 26, 2014

Bob and Martha Turner will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary on Saturday, Jan. 3.

Martha (Jordan) was originally from Greencastle and Bob was raised in Cory. The two met on a blind date and were later married in Greencastle. They have made Cory their home ever since.

Bob and Martha have two daughters, Sharon (Joel) Nicoson and Connie Turner. They have two grandsons, Grant and Sam Nicoson.

The Turners farmed in the Cory community as well as having a large hog production. You might catch them in the evening sky as they enjoy flying their light sport airplane.

One fond memory the couple shares from their January wedding day 50 years ago is the fact that honey bees were flying around Martha's flower bouquet in the reception line.

In addition to celebrating their anniversary with their family in January, Bob will be celebrating his 75th birthday and Martha will be celebrating her 70th.

The Turners would be delighted to hear well wishes and congratulatory messages with a card shower.

Cards can be mailed to the couple's home at 3383 W. CR 100 South, Cory, IN 47846
