PCH ugly holiday sweater contest raises HOPE funds

Sunday, January 4, 2015

The Putnam County Hospital Service Pillar recently conducted an Ugly Holiday Sweater contest to help celebrate the holidays and raise funds for the Putnam County Hospital HOPE (Helping Our People in Emergencies) project.

Staff members were encouraged to visit the PCH administration office and have their picture taken at the photo booth to be entered in the contest.

The following week, PCH staff took part in a "penny war," voting for their favorite ugly sweater.

The winners were then announced at the holiday pitch-in luncheon.

PCH announced that $137.67 was presented to the People Pillar's HOPE Fund.

The PCH People Pillar established the HOPE Fund in regard to caring about each other and recognizing there are times in everyone's lives when they may find themselves facing financial hardships.

The fund helps associates obtain basic needs such as food, utilities, clothing and shelter or other needs that may be more complex.
