John Jeffrey Starr

John Jeffrey Starr, 60, Cloverdale, passed away on Sunday, Jan. 4, 2015 at Putnam County Hospital at Greencastle.

He was born on Nov. 1, 1954 in Indianapolis and was the son of Garald Wayne (G. W.) Starr and Martha L. (Baker) Starr.

He was married to Linda Kay Bland on May 12, 1984, and she survives.

He is also survived by his daughters, Ainsley Mae Starr and Kelsey Linwood Starr, both of Cloverdale; his mother, Martha L. Starr, Cloverdale; and his sister, Sandy Frank and husband Gary, Sailor Springs, Ill.

He was preceded in death by his father, Garald Wayne (G. W.) Starr and his brother, David Garald Starr.

He was a member of Masonic Lodge 132, F & AM, Cloverdale, and was employed at Allison's in Indianapolis.

John loved the history of Civil War and the French and Indian War, and guns, looking for artifacts and walking in the fields and woods.

Funeral services will be conducted at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday, Jan. 8, 2015 at Whitaker Funeral Home, Cloverdale.

Visitation will be held Thursday, Jan. 8 from 4 p.m. until service time. Masonic memorial services will be held at 7:30 p.m.

Graveside interment services will be held on Friday, Jan. 9 at 1 p.m. at Round Hill Cemetery in Indianapolis.
