Volunteer attorneys to provide free legal advice on MLK Day

Tuesday, January 13, 2015

BLOOMINGTON -- The District 10 Pro Bono Project, Inc. will partner with local attorneys to answer questions and provide free legal advice by walk-in or phone on Martin Luther King Day.

Interested parties can access this event by coming to District 10's new location in the One City Center building (between Walnut St & College Ave) at 120 W 7th St, Suite 450 in Bloomington or by calling (812) 339-3610 from 9 a.m.-5 p.m. on Martin Luther King Day, Monday Jan.19.

This will be an opportunity to have legal questions answered while speaking directly to an attorney. There is no income requirement for this service.

In addition, a Spanish hotline, 800-279-8772, will be made available to the public from 11 a.m.-7 p.m.

While this service is not a substitute for retaining an attorney for legal representation, attorneys may be able to give answers to some legal questions.

The project is co-sponsored by the District 10 Pro Bono Project, Inc. and the Indiana State Bar Association (ISBA) as part of ISBA's annual "Talk to a Lawyer Today" Program.
