Putnam County residents are invited to celebrate loving relationships -- romantic and otherwise -- with "Warm Winter Love: A Valentine's Dinner and Concert" on Saturday, Feb. 14 at The Inn at DePauw.

The event will feature singer/songwriter Bobbie Lancaster, blues legend Tad Robinson and DePauw University School of Music faculty artists Claude Cymerman (piano), Eric Edberg (cello) and Steve Snyder (jazz piano).

The Inn at DePauw and the Greencastle Summer Music Festival are jointly presenting the evening of love songs and fine food from 7-8:30 p.m. on Valentine's Day at the Inn.

An all-inclusive price of $99 per couple (or $49.50 per person) includes appetizer, "Heart's Delight" salad, choice of entree, dessert, a champagne toast and all gratuities.

Entree choices include roasted vegetable terrine with black beans and rice, baked stuffed chicken breast roulades with asiago cream sauce, or grilled salmon with dill sauce.

A portion of proceeds will be donated to the Greencastle Summer Music Festival.

"We wanted to do something special for the community," Festival founding artistic director Eric Edberg, the Grubb Professor of Music at DePauw, said.

"Creating a truly special 'date night' in which we can share great music and fine food in an elegant setting will give each of us a special evening -- a truly extraordinary night in Greencastle," Edberg added. "With love songs from a variety of music traditions, we'll celebrate romance and love, and be ready to get through the rest of the winter inspired and full of love."

To make reservations (deadline Feb. 9), persons may call the Inn at DePauw at 658-1005 or 658-1003.

The Greencastle Summer Music Festival brings the community together with friends making music for friends. Free concerts, supported by donations, every Wednesday from Memorial Day through mid-August in the sanctuary of Gobin Memorial United Methodist Church.
