Logan Beck (left) and Mattia Seaman, both juniors at Greencastle High School, have been invited to perform in state-wide performances reserved for exceptional performers. Beck will be a member of the 2015 Indiana All-State Choir while Seaman has been selected to participate in the 55th annual Indiana All-State High School Band Festival as well as playing with the Indianapolis Symphony Orchestra in March. Robert Hedge, the band director, is seen in the background during a practice performance at the high school.

One uses a horn and the other uses his voice but one thing is for certain: Greencastle High School juniors Logan Beck and Mattia Seaman have something special musically.

Beck recently received a gold award during a performance in Terre Haute and will be performing with the Indiana All-State Honor Band.

Beck also had the opportunity to sing as a member of the Indiana All-State Choir in Fort Wayne and was chosen to be a member of the group for 2015.

Seaman is also an outstanding performer, one who, according to his father, "would dedicate four hours a day if homework didn't stand in the way."

Seaman was selected for the DePauw Concert Band after an audition through DePauw's Alpha Program in the fall.

Seaman was chosen as one of four high school horn players to participate with the Indiana Symphony Orchestra and will be performing with them on March 4 at the Hilbert Circle Theater in Indianapolis.

Seaman has also been asked to perform in the 55th annual Indiana All-State High School Band Festival.

Both students have been sharpening their talents under the instruction of GHS band director Robert Hedge.

Both have been invited to perform in statewide performances because of their unique skills with their respective instruments.
