Businesses asked to update after hours contacts for 911 Dispatch

Monday, February 16, 2015

A recent alarm call at a local business has officials at Putnam County 911 Dispatch asking businesses to update their after hours contacts.

During the call in question, responders needed assistance in resetting an alarm but the business in question had outdated contact information on file with 911 Dispatch.

Costin said it served as a reminder that all businesses need to periodically update their contact information so it is always current.

The process is easy enough. A contact form is available at www.co.putnam.in.us/911/?page_id=196. The form asks for simple information such as name, owner, address and phone number of the business, as well as the name and number of the person or company primarily responsible for building maintenance and at least two people responsible for being called after hours.

Once completed, the form can be emailed to dcostin@ccrtc.com, faxed to 653-5117 or mailed to Putnam County 911, 1600 W. CR 225 South, Greencastle, IN 46135.

Anyone with questions may also call the 911 Dispatch non-emergency line at 653-5115 or 795-4791.
