Banner Graphic: What is different about being a senior on the team?

Calvin Hughes: There is more pressure on us to lead the younger guys, but can still do it.

BG: what was your offseason like this year?

CH: It was a lot of hoops. We were getting in and getting shots up. We were in some tournament to make sure we we still able to play good basketball.

BG: Who do you look up to for inspiration?

CH: I like to look up to athletes who go through problems and get through it because they are my favorites. I like sports.

BG: Who are some of your best friends on the team.

CH: Brody Bollman, (No.) 32. He's probably my best friend. We hang out a lot. We've known each other about every year of our life.

BG: What are some of your favorite memories at Greencastle?

CH: When my friend Nate Christy was a senior he dove over here on the sideline. He cut his chin open and then he came back and hit the winning free throws right after that.

BG: What is your favorite thing about basketball?

CH: I think coming out here and competing every night. It's the competition that really keeps me going.

BG: What are your plans after high school?

CH: My plans are to attend the University of Indianapolis or IUPUI for ocupational therapy.

BG: How do you like occupational therapy?

CH: I like it. I'm acutally interning at the Putnam County Hospital. I just like to help people get back on their feet.
