Friday, February 20, 2015

The Putnam County Public Library will be offering regular computer classes starting in March.

The computer classes being offered are in three categories, Computer Basics, Internet Basics and Productivity Tools.

Classes in the Computer Basics category are for patrons that are either brand new to computers or feel they need a more complete picture of how to best use a computer.

Classes in the Internet Basics category will introduce patrons to the Internet, social networking, cloud computing and give advice on keeping yourself and your computer safe while using the Internet.

Classes in the Productivity Tools category teach to programs used to complete specific tasks like typing a letter, creating and editing spreadsheets, organizing and managing digital photographs or using tablets and smartphones.

All classes are for beginners and are free and open to the public but registration is required since space is limited to 10 patrons. Classes are two hours long with a break.

March classes will be Computer Basics classes and registration is now open for March computer classes.

For a schedule of upcoming classes, either view the library website at pcpl21.org, call Mike at 653-2755 Ext. 118, or stop by the circulation or reference desk at the library.
