Edna L. Minkler

Edna L. Minkler, 93, Greencastle, formerly of Cloverdale, passed away on Wednesday, Feb. 18, 2015 at The Waters of Greencastle.

She was born on June 29, 1921 in Owen County, and was the daughter of Richard Ray Hunsicker and Dessie Delores (Anderson) Hunsicker.

She was a retired corrections officer at the Putnamville Correctional Facility and was also a private piano instructor.

She is survived by her son, Robert Minkler, Florida; granddaughter Amanda Minkler; step-grandson Jason Minkler; several nieces and nephews and her dear friend, Patty Perkins.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Richard Ray and Dessie Delores Hunsicker; her sisters, Ruby Viola Trout and Retha Mildred Ford; and her brothers, Walter Lewis Hunsicker and Charles Richard Hunsicker.

Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 22 at the Whitaker Funeral Home, Cloverdale.

Visitation will be held on Sunday, Feb. 22 from 1 p.m. until service time at the funeral home.

Interment will be in Cloverdale Cemetery.
