June was the daughter of the late Roy and Sylvia Taylor. She was active throughout her life in politics, church activities in several churches, the latter being the Putnamville United Methodist Church. June was formerly employed at P.R. Mallory in Greencastle.

June raised several children, positively impacting all on how to properly love and live a good life with reverence to God Almighty. She also taught these lessons to many others by the way she treated them, always setting a positive example.

June was a true patriot who loved her country. She was very active for many years in the VFW and American Legion, where she served in several capacities.

Survivors include sons Stephen Barnhart and Jerry Collins; daughters Nancy Wade and husband Gary, Sandra McGraw and husband Gary, Diana Meinecke and husband John and Anna Hagel; sister Syletta Rouse; brothers Earl Taylor and Allen Taylor; 11 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.

June had a kind spirit and demeanor to all her family, whom she cherished. In spite of the many tragedies in life June continued on giving her wisdom, love and spot-on advice to all. June tended to many people throughout their lives with illness and grief, and compassionately assumed the roles of daughter/mother to her younger siblings, spouse, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, friend and counselor.
