Patsy 'Pat' Beatrice Tippin Wacaster

Patsy "Pat" Beatrice Tippin Wacaster, 79, was born July 21, 1935, in Indianapolis and passed away Tuesday, Feb. 24, 2015 in Mountain View, Ark.

Pat grew up in Bainbridge and attended Bainbridge High School. She ran the local grocery at Van Bibber Lake for several years before moving to Arkansas, where she was a successful realtor in the Little Rock area. She retired from the VA Medical Center in Little Rock as a licensed practical nurse. She spent her retirement years on top of a mountain in the Ozarks.

Survivors include her husband, Bob Wacaster, and daughter, Becky Tippin, of Mountain View; sons Jim (Janet) Tippin of Bloomington, David (Sheryl) Tippin of Cape Coral, Fla., and Mike Tippin of Maumelle, Ark., two stepchildren, Shane (Charity) Wacaster of England and Angela Roberts of Arkansas; six grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren; one aunt, Pauline Heckman of Indiana; and one little black puppy "Duke."

Pat was preceded in death by her mother, Mary Ada (Essex) Fox.

A memorial service will take place at 2 p.m. Sunday, March 1 at Arbanna Baptist Church in Mountain View. Pat was a member of the church since 2005 and loved being known by the congregation as a Yankee because although she lived the most of her life in Arkansas, she was always a Hoosier at heart.
