Charles David Coleman, 89, of Reelsville, passed away on March 5, 2015 at Hendricks Regional Health in Danville with his family by his side.

Charles was born Sept. 10, 1925 in Dana, the son of the late Roy and Emily (Sisson) Coleman.

He married the love of his life, Bernadine Eddleman, on Dec. 24, 1945.

Charles worked as a truck driver for Yellow Freight, where he retired in 1988.

He was a member of Big Walnut Baptist Church in Reelsville.

Charles enjoyed building trailers, going to garage sales and collecting "junk."

He is survived by his wife of 69 years, Bernadine Coleman; children Ginny Jones of Reelsville, David Coleman (Barbara) of Round Rock, Texas, and James Coleman of Greencastle; five grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandson; a brother, William Coleman (Mildred), of Indianapolis; a sister, Martha Blanton of Paris, Ill.; as well as nieces, a nephew, extended family and friends.

Per Charles' wish cremation will take place with a celebration of life at a later date.

He will be laid to rest at Forest Hill Cemetery in Greencastle at a later date.
