Telling your story with results focus of April 7 workshop

Friday, March 13, 2015

The next workshop in the 2015 Nonprofit Learning Series, sponsored by the Putnam County Community Foundation and the Montgomery County Community Foundation, is titled "Outcomes: Telling Your Story with Results."

The workshop will take place April 7 from 11 a.m to 2 p.m. at the Crawfordsville Country Club. Cost of the workshop is only $15 if registered and paid by April 1 or $25 at the door.

June Miller is the Southern Indiana Regional director for the Indiana Nonprofit Resource Network. She has been involved in corporate and nonprofit training for more than 20 years. She has done training workshops on subjects ranging from nonprofit board development and fundraising, to strategic planning and managing change.

"Funders, donors and the public are asking, or requiring, that nonprofit organizations measure and report outcomes or results," Miller said.

During this session, outcomes measurement will be defined and discussed not only as an effective tool for evaluation, but also as an outstanding planning tool.

The Nonprofit Learning Series is designed to enrich and advance nonprofit associations, organizations, churches and units of government. The cost includes the workshop, a catered lunch and all workshop materials.

To register, persons may contact Vicki Kirby in the Putnam County Community Foundation office at 653-4978 or vkirby@pcfoundation.org.

The Putnam County Community Foundation is a nonprofit public charity established in 1985 to serve donors, award grants and provide leadership, enriching the quality of life and strengthening community in Putnam County.

The Nonprofit Learning Series is made possible by the unrestricted Community Grants endowments administered by the Foundation.
