Disc golf day set Saturday at new Big Walnut course

If you're a disc golf fan or just like to "grip and rip," you're invited to try the new Big Walnut Sport Park course.

Golfer's Day is an opportunity to be thankful someone invented the game and particpants will play it Big Walnut style on Saturday, April 11.

Starting at 9 a.m. the Greencaslte Park and Recreation Department will introduce the public to the sport of disc golf and explore Big Walnut Sports Park at the same time.

It will not be a tournament, but a chance to play with others and learn the game.

Members of the Western Indiana "Frozen" Fundraiser Series will offer lessons and pointers to players as they try the official 19-hole course. At the end of your game, report your score and pick up your prize, an official Greencastle Parks Department mini-driver.
