GMS, North Putnam fare well at Junior Super Bowl

The North Putnam Middle School conducted its annual Junior Academic Super Bowl Invitational Tuesday, April 7 with Greencastle and North Putnam dominating the standings.

GMS had two first places (Science and Math) and one second (Interdisciplinary), while North Putnam earned first places in Social Studies and English and thirds in Science and Interdisciplinary.

It proved to be an exciting night as the scoring was close and the results came down to tie-breakers.

The schools competing were Greencastle, North Putnam, South Putnam and Cascade.

There were five rounds: Science, Social Studies, Math, English and Interdisciplinary.

The results (teams listed in order of placing first to fourth) were:

Science: Greencastle, South Putnam, North Putnam, Cascade.

Social Studies: North Putnam, South Putnam, Cascade, Greencastle.

Math: Greencastle, South Putnam, Cascade, North Putnam.

English: North Putnam, South Putnam, Greencastle, Cascade.

Interdisciplinary: Cascade, Greencastle, North Putnam, South Putnam.
