-- Stacks Music Sampler, 5:30-6 p.m.

Drop in around 5:30 for an impromptu performance and presentation. Vocal ensembles, string trios, brass quartets and more.

-- Chess with James, 6-7:30 p.m.

Come learn to play chess or improve your skills. Chess with James will meet in Adult Reference.

Wednesday, April 15

-- Baby Time, 10:30-11 a.m.

Sing songs, read stories, play with toys, talk, and laugh with your baby. Caregivers receive a free Starbucks beverage after 10 sessions. Birth through crawlers.

-- Toddler Time, 10-10:45 a.m.

Sing songs, hear stories and nursery rhymes, move around to music and action songs, and make a craft. 12-35 months.

-- Storytime Bricks, 10 a.m.-noon

Children of all ages may make Lego creations during Storytime sessions.

-- Pre-K Prime Time, 11-11:30 a.m.

Hear theme-based stories, move around and sing action songs, make a craft, and have a small snack. Ages 3-5.

-- Family Quiet Time in the Imagination Portal, noon-3 p.m.

-- Computer Class: Introduction to Social Networking, 2-4 p.m.

Introduction to social networking will introduce patrons to a variety of websites devoted to socializing with others online and ways to protect privacy while enjoying an online social life.

-- Mike DeCarlo Art Studio, 5-6 p.m.

Youth ages 12-18 are encouraged to preregister for this event. Bring a collection of art samples for evaluation. DeCarlo, a comic books artist, will explain his method of art and review students' samples.
