School record highlight DPU's fifth-place finish

DePauw picked up a pair of firsts and a school record on the way to a fifth-place showing at the Rose-Hulman Twilight. The Tigers totaled 82 points, while Washington University won with 166 and Rose-Hulman was second with 99.

Celia Kauth won the high jump (1.61 meters/5-3.25), while Emma MacAnally was first in the 5,000 meters (19:30.56). Rachel Gutish broke her own school record in the pole vault (3.60/11-9.75) which she set last weekend.

Megan Everhart was second in the 5,000 meters (19:38.27) and Heather O'Brien was third in the 1,500 meters (4:51.02).

Turning in fourth-place performances were Katie Manalo in the shot put (10.89/35-8.75) as well as Mary Jane Oviatt in the triple jump (10.04/32-11.25). Oviatt was also fifth in the high jump (1.51/4-11.5). Ellie Sheffield was fifth in the 100 hurdles (17.01) and seventh in the 400 hurdles (1:17.68).

Hannah Adams was fifth in the javelin (29.81/97-10), while Claudia Monnett placed fifth in the 3,000 meters (10:45.04). Maddie Prather picked up five points with a sixth-place showing in the 400 hurdles (1:14.70) and seventh in the 100 hurdles (18.06).

Hope Jordan completed the 1,500 meters in sixth in 4:57.91, while Manalo was seventh in the discus (28.53/93-7).

DePauw's 4x100 relay was seventh in 55.05 seconds.

The Tigers return to action on Saturday, April 25, at the Bellarmine Classic.
