Wednesday, April 22, 2015
Trees from Vallonia State Nursery will be available Saturday at the opening of the Greencastle Farmers' Market on the courthouse square. Everyone is welcome to have five trees to plant to celebrate the Bicentennial of Indiana. The trees, available on a first-come, first-served basis, are persimmon, pawpaw, silky dogwood, white pine, red oak, gray dogwood and ninebark. The free trees are sponsored by Buzzi Unicem USA and the Greencastle High School Environmental Club. Opening day of the Farmers' Market will run from 9 a.m. until noon on Saturday, April 25.
