Saturday, April 25, 2015

After earning an early lead against Tri-West, Greencastle fell behind in the later innings, falling 12-7.

The Tiger Cubs played well at the onset of its match with the Bruins. Greencastle jumped out to a 2-0 lead in the first when Trey Scanland earned two RBI by knocking in Noah Cook and Tanner Nicholson.

Grencastle then responded to Tri-West with two second-inning runs by scoring Levi Lewis on a Nicholson RBI.

After Tri-West's third-inning run, scoring halted until the fifth when the Bruins scored four runs.

Greencastle stayed with the Bruins as Nicholson scored again Trey Scanland sacrificed a fly and Cook scored again.

But Tri-West was on a roll and scored two in the sixth and three in the seventh.

GHS did all it could as it scored Cook for a third time and Anthony Rossok came around on Kaleb Fleming's RBI.

Greencastle has played a tough few games and will enjoy a week off barring any rescheduling and will face Covenant Christian on Friday.
