The DePauw Percussion Ensemble returns to Peeler Art Gallery to interact with Lucy and Jorge Orta's FOOD + WATER + LIFE. The group grooves on found-object instruments and melds musical speech and percussive sound. The performance includes percussion music from Australia, Brazil, and the United States to highlight the exhibition's theme of art and resources without borders.

The Performing Musical Theatre Scenes class presents "Freaks & Murder," a dark, provocative performance of scenes from Jekyll & Hyde, The Mystery of Edwin Drood, Chicago, Wonderland, A Gentleman's Guide to Love and Murder and Side Show. This concert is for mature audiences only.

DePauw Brass Ensembles: Brass Quintet, Brass Trio, and Trumpet Trio

Four brass groups--two trios, a quartet and a quintet--will present a wide variety of music from the well--known brass transcription repertoire. The concert will include celebrated Renaissance, Baroque, and Classical Period works by Weelkes, Telemann, Purcell, Vivaldi, Mozart and Beethoven, along with surprise pieces for brass and organ.

DePauw University Choirs and Orchestra: Beethoven Symphony No. 9

For the culminating event of the 2014-15 School of Music concert season, Orcenith Smith conducts DePauw's massed choirs and orchestra in a performance of Beethoven's majestic Symphony No. 9 in D Minor. The familiar choral finale, "Ode to Joy," with its universal message of hope and brotherhood, will feature faculty soloists Pamela Coburn (soprano), Caroline Smith (mezzo-soprano), Kerry Jennings (tenor) and guest Charles Stanton (baritone). Professor Kristina Boerger directs the combined University Choirs.
