Carol Lee Gerlach

Carol Lee Gerlach, 77, Cloverdale, went to her heavenly home on Wednesday, April 29, 2015 at her residence, surrounded by her loved ones.

She was born on July 28, 1937 at Reelsville and was the daughter of the late James Clifford Mathews and Mary (Barr) Clifford.

She married Robert F. Gerlach on Dec. 31, 1963, and he survives.

She is also survived by her children, Jill Gibson and husband Jerry, Cloverdale, Sharyl Peck and husband Chad, Cloverdale, and Brent Gerlach, Cloverdale; her sister, Adrenne Patterson and husband, Don, Greencastle; her brother, Gene Mathews, Brazil; her half-brother, Rick Shepard and wife Sandy, Beaverville, Ill.; her sister-in-law, Garlinda Mathews, Reelsville; six grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

She was a member of the Reelsville Methodist Church and was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend.

Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Saturday, May 2 at the Whitaker Funeral Home, Cloverdale. Interment will be in the Cloverdale Cemetery.

Visitation will be from noon until service time at the funeral home.
