CLOVERDALE -- The Clover baseball team continued to struggle Thursday when Linton-Stockton visited. The home team struggled to get on the board early despite some decent swings. Linton-Stockton took home the victory 11-1.

"We're struggling with confidence at the plate," Jarrod Duff said. "That's for sure. We struggled a lot tonight. Staying back on off speed pitches. We've worked on it but obviously have to work some more."

Linton-Stockton got ahead early in the game and Cloverdale had a tough time responding.

"I felt like tonight though we did swing the bat with a little more confidence," Duff said. "We put the ball in play more but still just too many strikeouts."

Cloverdale will get the weekend to refocus before Monday when the Clovers face South Vermillion.
