Drop in around 5:30 for an impromptu performance and presentation. Vocal ensembles, string trios, brass quartets and more.

Sing songs, read stories, play with toys, talk and laugh with your baby. Caregivers receive a free Starbucks beverage after 10 sessions. Birth through crawlers.

-- Time Travelin' Genealogy Guild, 5:30-7:30 p.m.

The Local History and Genealogy Department of the Putnam County Public Library has expanded resources by becoming a FamilySearch Affiliate Library. Diana Brumfield will present an introduction to this service that will include how to set up a free account, use the catalog, order films, how to use the microfilm reader, and an inventory of the department's existing microfilm collection.

-- Toddler Time, 10-10:45 a.m.

Sing songs, hear stories and nursery rhymes, move around to music and action songs, and make a craft, age 12-35 months.

-- Storytime Bricks, 10 a.m.-noon

Children of all ages may make Lego creations during Storytime sessions.

-- Pre-K Prime Time, 11-11:30 a.m.

Hear theme-based stories, move around and sing action songs, make a craft, and have a small snack. Ages 3-5.

-- Computer Class - Introduction to Word Processing, 2-4 p.m.

Hands-on class introduces patrons to using typewriter-like word processing software, like Microsoft Word and discusses cheaper and free alternatives to Microsoft. All classes are for beginners and are free and open to the public but registration is required since space is limited. To register, use "May Computer Classes" link on the library website at pcpl21.org, call 653-2755 Ext. 118, or call or stop by the circulation or reference desks.
