The Comedy in Crawfordsville series, founded by Neil Snyder and now in its third year, makes its Greencastle debut on Saturday, May 16 at the Eagles Lodge, 207 W. Elizabeth St.

The first show will be somewhat of a supercard, with eight comedians hitting the stage throughout the night.

The show headliner Brian Barganier comes from New England, making this small-town on this tour.

Marques Bunn

Marques Bunn will be featured, along with show host Neil Snyder and opening comic Rob Wilfong.

Barganier has been tearing up the comedy scenes in New York City and all along the East Coast for year. The Connecticut native's style runs comfortably on the edge of conventional and alternative comedy.

With comedy that can mostly be described as "planned carelessness," Barganier manages to pull a 180 and find the funny in topics that sometimes seem untouchable. In 2012 he released his first CD "Grilled Cheese and Orgies" and recently released his first full length album "Kinda Ready to Die." He was the winner of the 2013 Funniest Person in New England contest and was part of NBC's Stand Up for Diversity lineup in 2012.

Barganier has also written for Comedy Central's "Naughty List," for MTV's "Guy Code," and

Cartoon Network's Adult Swim.

Bunn started his comedy career back in 1996 at the age of 21. His first night onstage was an open mic at Crackers Comedy Club in Indianapolis. After winning the amateur portion that night, Bunn was hooked. Just a few years later, he ascended to the professional ranks and has been a touring comic ever since.

Raised in blue collar Kokomo has lent Bunn an abundance of material most people can relate to. With his dead-on impressions, unique perspectives and sharp delivery, he wows audiences all over the country. Bunn has been heard on the nationally-syndicated "Bob and Tom Show" and has been seen on Fox TV.

Snyder booked his first Comedy in Crawfordsville show as a was for his hometown to see him partcipating in his new hobby. Before long, he was putting shows on all over west-central Indiana and into Ohio and Illinois, bring national acts to local bars, restaurants, clubs and other stages. To date, Snyder has featured or headlines shows in four different states in an array of diverse venues.

He has frequently been heard on Red Rooster Radio with "Neil Snyder's Comedy Cottage" live show and podcast. In 2013, he won Funniest Educational Professional, a qualifying round for the Funniest Person in Louisville contest. He is also the producer and host of The Play-In stand-up comedy year-round contest.

Wilfong is a comedy veteran from Independence, Ky., and is known in the Cincinnati area for his Live Bait Comedy shows, putting regular entertainment up all over the area. He's also often seen at the Newport Levee Funny Bone, including as one half of the Fatty and Skinny Show. Wilfong was a finalist in the Stars on Stage competition at the Gaslight Inn in Indianapolis. He's also been a part of Larry Love's Dysfunctional Comedy tour.

Following a short intermission at 9:45 p.m., four other comedians will fill another hour on stage. This lineup includes Bloomington's Bob Nugent, Nate Gropp and Donna Blazier of Indianapolis and Colin Cook of Middletown, Conn.

The show is free and open to the public. It will be held in the lounge area where smoking is permitted and limited to an audience age 21 and up. Audiences are cautioned that the stand-up content will contain graphic language and adult situations.
