Banner Graphic: What is different about being a senior on the team?

Courtney Adams: Actually not much is different. I thought stuff would be different but I don't want to feel like I'm above anybody just because I'm a senior.

BG: What are some of your favorite memories at Greencastle?

CA: That's a hard one. There's a lot. Well beating South and North is definitely my favorite memory. This year beating North was good because I got to play in that game. Watching them beat South this year felt good even though I couldn't play.

BG: Who inspires you in your personal life to do well?

CA: My dad. He's been my coach since I was really young. Since I've played he's been my coach and always pushed me to be better and made me stay out on the field for four hours when I was ready to go home.

BG: What's your favorite thing about softball?

CA: How I can just lose everything. I don't think about anything except for the play that is coming up and the pitch that's about to be thrown. That's all I think about and I don't worry about anything else that is going on in my life.

BG: What's your favorite thing about your teammates?

CA: We are like sisters. We'll get in fights and can't stand each other one minute but the next we are best friends, singing and dancing and having fun. It's just sisterhood.

BG: What can sports teach you about life?

CA: How to work with other people or people you don't like. Once you are teammates, you'll be nice to them and be their best friend just because you are teammates. You have to learn to like them or you are not going to succeed.

BG: What are your plans after high school?

CA: I'm going to IUPUI. I'm majoring in psychology and minoring in coaching. I'm really interested in psychology and how the brain works. I'm actually passionate about that. I feel like I would like to come back and coach high school girls because I have experienced it first hand so I can tell them how it is.
