Educating an Educator

Friday, May 22, 2015
The Putnam Country Retired Teachers Association has awarded Hannah Ramey (left), a 2012 graduate of Cloverdale High School, with its 2015 scholarship. This scholarship is awarded annually to Putnam County high school graduates who are education majors entering their third or fourth year of college. The recipient must be an education major and aspire for a career in education. Ramey will be entering her senior year at St. Joseph's College, where she is a music education major who will be student teaching in elementary music education and high school band next year. She hopes to teach elementary school music in rural or inner city schools, where music education is often undervalued. Marilyn Lawrence presents Ramey with a certificate of award for the scholarship.
