Lady Clovers dominate Eels

The Clover softball team ran into few problems as it faced Eminence Friday evening. Pitcher Lauren Meek and the Cloverdale record improved to 16-5 as the Clovers won 18-0 in five innings.

Dinah Bunch was contributing well serving up three singles and a double with four RBIs. The Clovers were scoring early and often with five runs in the first inning.

Makayla Westell, Christa Asbury and Kirsten Southwood all earned a single while Hannah Long added a double.

With the regular season over, the Clovers' next match will be a sectional battle with Monrovia.

The Bulldogs are 13-12 with wins coming against Greencastle and Speedway. Cloverdale beat Monrovia 4-0 in April.
