Thomas Edward Blubaugh

Thomas Edward Blubaugh, 79, of Morton, went to be with the Lord on Sunday, May 24, 2015.

He was born on Aug. 9, 1935 in Farmersburg, Ind., to Charles Blubaugh and Esther Hauger Blubaugh.

Tom was a faithful member of Abundant Life House of Mercy for more than 42 years.

He retired from the Greencastle Community School Corporation, where he was the head custodian at the Greencastle High School McAnally Center gym.

Tom was preceded in death by his parents; his wife of 56 years, Kathleen Jane Blubaugh, and two brothers, Jim Blubaugh and Richard Blubaugh.

Surviving are one daughter, Tomella (Randy) Rimer of Avon; four sons, William (Janet) Blubaugh of Clayton, Byron Blubaugh of Plainfield, Samuel (Angie) Blubaugh of Morton, and Daniel Blubaugh of Sevierville, Tenn.; 11 beautiful grandchildren and eight beautiful great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be conducted at 6:30 p.m. Thursday, May 28 at the Abundant Life House of Mercy, 1003 W. Lincoln St., Danville, with Pastor Jeremy VanLue and Bishop Jerry G. VanLue officiating.

The family will receive friends on Thursday from 3 p.m. until time of services at the church.

Interment will be on Friday, May 29 at 9 a.m. at Brick Chapel Cemetery.
