HANK SPENCER, a senior computer science major of Greencastle, received Clyde Lamb Award, the Alumni Computer Science and Information Systems Prize and the "Decade of Excellence" Prize at the University of Mount Union's Senior Recognition and Honors Convocation on April 21.

The University of Mount Union's Senior Recognition and Honors Convocation recognizes graduating seniors and underclassman students who have excelled academically, displayed excellent leadership skills and shown dedication to the university and community through outstanding community service initiatives.

The University of Mount Union, founded in 1846, is a four-year private institution that has a liberal arts tradition. The university is located in Alliance, Ohio, 80 miles of both Cleveland and Pittsburgh.

ALEXIS N. DUELL of Greencastle was named to the spring 2015 dean's list at Vincennes University.

The dean's list includes students from the Vincennes campus, Jasper campus, Aviation Technology Center in Indianapolis, military bases and other extended sites.

To qualify for the Dean's List, a student must complete at least 12 credit hours and achieve a grade point index of 3.5 or better on a 4.0 scale.
