John Gregg to headline Democrat picnic
Former Indiana Speaker of the House and 2015 gubernatorial candidate John Gregg will be the keynote speaker for the Putnam County Democrat picnic to take place on Flag Day, Sunday, June 14. The public is welcome to attend.
The picnic will begin at 1 p.m. at Robe-Ann Park.
Besides Gregg, the picnic will also feature brief comments from local Democratic candidates on this year's ballot.
All food and drinks are provided, with a suggested donation to the Democratic party of $10 per person, $15 per couple, and free for children ages 12 and younger.
Attendees may register at the event or in advance by calling Jinsie Bingham at 653-3565. Checks may be mailed prior to the event to Putnam County Democrats, P.O. Box 602, Greencastle, IN 46135. To join the party's Century Club or Millennium Club, send your check for $100 per person or $250 or more per person. Checks should be made out to "Putnam County Democrats."
